Play the World Championship Teams Starting October 22nd

If you recall, we previously reported that you’d be able to download the top teams from the 2012 Pokémon World Championships to play against in the Pokémon World Tournament mode in Pokémon Black Version 2 and White Version 2. Today we have a bit more information about which trainers you’ll be able to battle as well as when you’ll be able to start doing so!

There will be three WiFi events in total corresponding to the three age divisions at the Pokémon World Championships and four players from each will be available. The first of these events will happen on October 22nd, 2012 about a week after the VGC ’13 Autumn Regionals. So far, the only confirmed player is three-time World Champion Ray Rizzo (Ray), but we predict that the Top 4 from each division will be available to battle against. We’ll have details on the full roster and date of each distribution event on October 15th, but here’s our prediction on the list:

Masters

Seniors

Juniors

  • Abram Burrows
  • Brian Hough
  • Brendan Zheng (Babbytron)
  • Kippei Takaki
