Season-Ending Nugget Bridge Invitational Format Announced (Updated with new date)

On February 3rd, 2013 the top 16 Nugget Bridge Circuit players will play in the season-ending Nugget Bridge Invitational. Invitations to participate in the tournament will be given to the top 16 players of the Nugget Bridge Circuit on January 14, 2013, and those players will have 10 days to accept the invitation or it will be passed down to the next player in the Nugget Bridge Circuit Ratings.

The Invitational will take place on February 3rd and take place over the course of 1 day similar to a Live Tournament. The Invitational will be single elimination and played in a best of 3 matches. Much like the rest of the Nugget Bridge Circuit season, this tournament will also be seeded according to the current NBC ratings at that time. The current modified rule set will be used for the tournament and matches must be played on Wi-Fi. However, players may use either their Pokemon Black/White or Pokemon Black 2/White 2 carts for this competition. Contrary to previous events players using Pokemon Black 2/White 2 carts will not need to announce whether or not they are using Formes that are not compatible with Pokemon Black/White. Additionally competitors will not be permitted to change teams through the course of the Invitational. Anything not covered by these rules will be handled at the discretion of the NBC host, makiri.

We here at Nugget Bridge also urge the competitors to save their battle videos so viewers can see what it takes to be among the best Nugget Bridge has to offer.

The Invitational will not offer any Nugget Bridge Circuit Points, however the champion of the NBC Invitational will hold the title of Nugget Bridge Circuit Champion for the season and walk away with a $25 Amazon.com gift card for his or her hard work over the course of the season.

Update: Due to the news that the 2013 International Challenge will be taking place from January 25th, 2013 to January 27th, 2013 the Invitational has been moved back to February 3rd, 2013.
