Now the Real Fun Begins: LCQ Results

The VGC World Championships are well underway in Kona, Hawaii, beginning today with the Last Chance Qualifier. Several trainers fought hard for a spot in tomorrow’s World Championship, but in the end, only four could emerge victorious. The Last Chance Qualifier, which featured a best-of-3 format for the first time, produced drama in all three divisions. In the Masters division, Huy Ha (Huy), Scott Glaza (Scott), Matt Coyle, and Edgar Fernandez advanced. In the Seniors division, Natalie Kaspzak (Maski), Gavin Michaels (kingofkongs), Henry Maxon (Snake), and Santa Ito advanced. All of these trainers will join the rest of the qualifiers and compete tomorrow in the Video Game World Championships.

Make sure you follow along with The Pokémon Company International’s official website for information about the events from the source. For our part, Nugget Bridge will be doing up-to-the-minute updates on how players are doing via our Twitter. We’ll also be hosting livestreams of featured battles on our TwitchTV page (or if that fails, keep our backup UStream in mind). We’ll also have people commenting on the action from home on our forums – currently the most active VGC community on the web! Our YouTube will also be filled with videos after the competiton ends, and of course our site will have articles for you to read with accounts of how the weekend went.

Good luck to all of the trainers participating this weekend, and stay tuned to Nugget Bridge for the best in VGC Worlds coverage!
