The answer, apparently, is “missing Top Cut” and maybe also “losing his cult following to Evan”.
Couldn’t find him in the article, is he from Senior Division?
Would love to see what his team members are and how it functions.
Ya he is in the senior division. And he will have a report up on nb soon so you can see his team then!
Yeah lol, I’m pretty happy with the choice I made as well, sceptile didn’t do much for me besides die to an hp ice in a pc final. But Venusaur carried me through swiss.
Does anyone know what Wolfe ran on his mega banette? I’m really curious to know since I’ve tried using it before in the past
I bet he will write a team report,or you could message him.
I like the variety here. This format is really shaping up well so far, I love it. Charizard seems a little low in usage, I thought it worked really well for me. Kangaskhan and Landorus seem a little high obviously, I hope it levels out a bit as the format evolves a bit more.
So as someone who is new here maybe this is the wrong place to ask the question but it pertains to the article at hand. Is there any suitable replacement for Salamence on that first place Cali squad in the meta atm? Odd question but its just a personal disdain for the Pokemon itself.
Thanks, looking forward to that one
Yeah thanks so now actually having fun playing pokemon is a bad thing? Got it.
When did Level 51 mention that having fun playing Pokemon is a bad thing? I don’t see that anywhere in his post.
Going into thr tournament brining sawk i didnt think “oh boy now that sawks on my team ill definitely miss cut :D” i brought sawk because it is fun to play with and it had a purpose
I don’t really see the point in berating others for their ideas if they work. I’m more curious about the Jellicent Braverious used. I wasn’t aware that it could work in VGC aside from blocking the mama’s PuP.
Out of curiosity, what was the purpose?
Dude there is no reason to defend yourself, no one is attacking you. Level 51 made a joke about your rise to VGC lore (not trying to smear you the player), and Dingram pointed out that he was making a joke. Relax hombre, no one is trying to start anything.
Gonna throw my two cents here now that I’m back from hanging out with irl friends and I don’t want any tension between two people I respect:
-Ashton fanboy posts something because someone who had a decent run last year miss cut at a regional (honestly, we all have bad tourneys and it is a new meta)
-People make jokes about his poor performance to try and farm likes who really don’t know him too well (yay internet)
-Ashton gets lightly offended (for good reason. While he certainly doesn’t have to react to the comments thrown about him and I can’t say I’ve never caused drama, I’m starting to get to the point where being on here people have to make like Taylor Swift and just shake it off about comments like this, myself included.)
I’m wondering if there is a formula for drama on here and the solution to it would cure some of the cancer that seems to be spreading lately.
Here’s to hoping people can put this aside and move on.
Going to nip this in the bud before it embiggens. This topic is about the regional teams and please take other discussion elsewhere.
ok on the subject of regionals teams i think Unreality’s team sucks and i think hes a loser player
It can wall Kangaskhan and burn it, It has a very good match up against Heatran, Landorus and Terrakion, it’s hard to take down with good bulk and Recover.
Sawk doesn’t do most of those things. You might be…thinking of something else.
Is there a reason why not even a Whimsicott made it to top cut? It seems to be very common on BS.
Because no one who used it made top cut that weekend?
bro, that’s so funny! oh my god, you’re so funny!
But its true…. Why ask the question if you already know the answer?
Ok, maybe I was not able to properly express my thoughts in english, my apologies.
What I meant is:
“Is there a reason why not even a Whimsicott made it to top cut? It seems to be very common on BS among highly rated players“. (maybe that’s what I should have said)
The point is that to me it seems a good pokemon..
It has access to Prankster Tailwind, Taunt, Encore, the terra-cott combo even if predictable is always scary I think.. yet, it is probably not that good apparently.
If you guys have an opinion on why whimsicott is not one of the best pokemon in vgc I’d like to hear about it
I think the reason why its uncommon is because it has next to no offensive presence. Kind of similar to Meowstick. You can have tailwind on other more dangerous pokemon like Suicune and Talonflame. Prankster doesnt do too much for that move since the speed boost doesnt come into count until the next round. Also can we pls call the Terra-Cott Combo Terracotta-Combo?
PS: The poeple who refused to answer your question are dicks.
I see Whimsicott a lot more from Japanese players for whatever reason.
That awkward moment when you quote the post just below the one you actually wanted to quote
I find it interesting that Sylveon penetrated at least 25% of Top Cut Teams everywhere except Missouri.
