Thanks ! Now let’s wait for the reports >.<
Jon Hu had a Gardevoir instead of an Aegislash.
Wow some very interesting teams lower down the list, huge respect to Ashton Cox for always bringing something wacky and destroying with it 🙂
Omg Jacob Hartenbower used Crobat and Glaceon, definitely a cool guy xD
Fixed that, thanks. Not sure how someone messed that up to begin with since it’s listed on Pokemon.com, lol x___x
I’m glad talonflame had not only such a high usage, but also a heavy presence in the upper levels of topcut. The poor bird was condemned by so many players, but the results clearly show it’s still at the top of its game!
You can’t forget the team of Ashton, seriously that’s the most original team I’ve ever seen with his focus blast Heliolisk !
Ashton’s easily got my vote for favorite team. That Heliolisk HYPE!
zach crawford had: staraptor, hydreigon, in addition to the three listed. my notes only have 5 pokemon though
I could have sworn that Zach Crawford was nineinchnailed, especially since his sig says “Deadsouls”. Can someone confirm if this is true or not?
I’m really disappointed in Aubrey and TechnoZ. If either of them had Goodra, we could have had Goodra in the finals of every division.
I’m Adam DeMarchi, and I brought Kangaskhan/Garchomp/Aegislash/Talonflame/Rotom-W/Gardevoir.
Kyle Smith was one of my opponents, but unfortunately I can’t remember what happened and don’t have the battle video. All I remember is that he had a Rotom-W as well.
Considering that this was only my second ever event, it is an absolute honor to have my team featured here, even if I only got 39th place. Thank you so much.
I’m pretty sure Shiloh’s last pokemon was an Azumarill.
Also, I’m Alec Rubin. Apparently I missed out when all the other randoms were giving their usernames.
Good job mate !
I’m Mario at #44. For my 1st Nationals, not too bad. Admittedly, I had a little luck Day 1 on Friday and it all ran out Sat. Apparently, I was the only one to have the great notion (sarcasm) to run both Talonflame and Aerodactyl, which explained my slight trouble w/ rain. Although I finally beat nave (3rd time was gonna be the charm… LOL)
I can confirm part of Kyle Smith’s team is Ludicolo, Mega Mawile, Rotom-W, Garchomp. The last two I’m not sure of.
Love seeing the creativity in the junior division. Gallade, Mega-Manectric, AND Moltres? I guess there’s a match I need to find later on twitch.
@honchkro13 Looking at his profile, I can confirm that Zach Crawford is nineinchnailed
also, it’s super cool to see that we could get so many peoples’ teams
I didn’t expect to see so many politoed and ludicolo
Alec Bel (#33)’s username is Polecat
Currently kicking myself for not running rain. I know some people were saying rain was the popular call, and that really shows to be true based on top 8.
I’m pretty happy with my performance and glad I could be one of the teams using two megas that appeared in top 46. It’s awkward because my specific team choices led me to be a little Rotom-H weak, but all in all that wasn’t a big problem.
Good job to everyone who got here! It was a grueling day 1, more grueling than a lot of day 1s we’ve had in the past.
Want to see those blastoise sets!!! And some of the other interesting mons here and congrats to all the trainers!
Surprising amount of Politoed running around. Good to see he could pull a win at nationals! Incidentally he wasn’t even used in the finals, but that’s OK. Also good to see Zapdos making top 8.
Talonflame is apparently the key to winning. Hard to say no to an “I Win” button.
Data should be complete now unless we have errors. If you see something wrong, or if you’re one of the people on the list and want your alias added, let us know.
Thanks for all the help from the people who contributed to getting this done.
Someone sell me on Zapdos. Every time I use it I feel like its power/move pool is really lacking.
It *bulky* and has interesting support moves, though. Maybe it’s that?
I wonder how Toasterhider’s team works. It has four electric weaknesses and zero resistances.
For me that’s more of a negative thing. I’m not a huge fan of win button. I get he takes SOME thinking to switch in and whatnot but I still feel like Talonflame gives too many free kills to the point of just being annoying.
Needs more Pokemon with quick guard I guess…
