I really don’t understand the worry for Trick Room here… there are so many new things TR teams can take advantage of. Oblivious blocking Taunt, Aroma Veil, Gourgeist (immune to Spore/all Sleep with Insomnia) and Trevenant… et cetera… and without all the legends involved, even things like Reuniclus are more balanced in the game. It just needs a bit of creative thinking, but Trick Room is still very viable.

  2. R Inanimate says:

    A good listen as always.

-I believe Rushan was using his usual Slowking + Gastrodon
-Benji’s Rain team was the only team that managed to defeat me in the NPA

-Azumarill definitely got a lot from gaining Fairy Typing, as it also gets Play Rough to add to its offensive movepool. Something simple like Aqua Jet / Play Rough / Superpower / Protect can allow Azumarill to do plenty of damage in battles.

-The Terrain moves have a bit more to them than what is on the description. For example, I believe that Electric Terrain also boosts the damage of Electric moves. and I know that Misty Terrain halves damage of Dragon-type moves delt to Pokemon on the ground

So is Kalos pronounced as “KAY-lohz” or “KAH-lohz” because I’ve always said the latter…

  4. Werecario says:

Speaking of failed teams (trick room team with out a trick room), lets give it up for my non sturdy lvl 1 Aron strategy.

  5. MarvelousBridge says:

Best use of Azumarill was sap sipper… speechless.

Are these going to be put on iTunes in the future? I’d like to listen to them while I’m driving. Thanks!

  12. Firestorm says:

I keep saying I’ll do it and never ending IP doing so but this time I mean it! I’ll maken an iTunes feed my priority once I get up a stream discovery system up. I plan to have the stream thing up Monday with iTunes later in the week.

And yes, I used Slowking / Gastrodon at Regionals. I only ever used Musharna / Sableye for that Charizard team in one International Challenge (Winter Friendly?). I used Gastrodon / Slowking core in every other tournament from beginning to end of Gen 5 because I am really that lazy.
