22Arash’s Shiny Mamoswine to be Distributed at Nationals & Korean National Postponed
Two pieces of news related to Nationals hit recently and they come in a good news / bad news format. For the bad news, we’ve learned that the Korean National Championships have been postponed due to the ferry disaster. It is unknown at this time whether a new date will be set or whether Korean players will even receive an invitation to Worlds this year. A Regional Championship and online qualifier have both already been held to qualify players for Nationals.
For some more positive news, National Championships in Europe — and presumably the one in North America — will distribute the signature Pokémon from Arash Ommati’s 2013 World Championship winning team: a shiny Mamoswine. Much like last year’s distributions, this vomit-coloured Mamoswine will come with the same moveset, nature, ability, and item that Arash used in his Worlds run:
Mamoswine (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Thick Fat
IVs: 31 HP / 31 Atk/ 31 Def/ 1 SAtk / 31 SDef / 31 Spd
EVs: 124 HP / 44 Atk / 100 Def / 44 SDef / 196 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
– Icicle Spear
– Earthquake
– Icicle Crash
– Rock Slide
It’s unknown at this time whether or not the IVs will be set to the same as he had (or even flawless which seems to be a new setting for distributions this generation). EVs still cannot be set on distributed Pokémon, so you’ll need to train it yourself!

ARASH WHAT HAVE YOU DONNNNNNEEEEE?????
But it’s a lemon….. with tusks…….. -___________-
The Legend of Mustardswine shall be passed on into the new generation.
I mean it sort of makes sense that it looks like vomit, its shiny pre-evolution looks like it’s got pneumonia or something.
Mustardswine rules U.u
When I recieve mine this weekend in Germany it shall be named… Mustardswine!!!
I was hoping for an amoonguss with only spore, but this will do
With this Mamoswine alongside Ray’s Metagross, in 4 years time I will have assembled the best team of all time consisting of the MVP pokemon from each world championship, all obtained from the Nats giveaways.
Be scared
…
You are heartless! #MUSTARDSWINE has feelings too
The only reason I’d use shiny Mamoswine is to stall the timer. (which I will be doing if I ever use Mamo)
Please choose how to use a Mamoswine :
1) Stall the timer
2) WIn at worlds
Sorry but I choose option number 2
Italian do it better…(even with Mamoswines)
lmfao this is too good
Y’all know nothing. This darling will always be affectionately known as Teinki
This is terrible news. I hope that all those affected can get through this great tragedy.
Oh and I wish the best for all those affected in Korea as well.
someone please save me one.
I realize the enormity of the ferry disaster, but unless I’m missing something cultural it would seem that taking something fun that the kids could do to take their minds off of it would be a poor idea.
Maybe in your cultural context. Not everyone is the same though.
it’s a cultural thing that has to do with respect for the victims, japan has done the same thing in the past. not only are the vgc events cancelled, but the pokemon town event is also canceled. other things like concerts have also been pushed back or delayed, it isn’t just a decision involving pokemon. i think pokemon also cancelled an episode of the anime that had to do with a sunken ship and a dragalge.
PLOT TWIST: In the world of Pokémon, vomit is like candy to us. Get yo’ facts right, children.
Anyways, regarding the Mamoswine, free is free, I’ll take one.
It just doesn’t feel right to not be able to get a diseased Mamoswine. It needs to be taken care of.
Negl I don’t care for Mamoswine (its ugly) and the shiny varient is ugly-er, but a shiny is a shiny nonetheless.
Looks like Korean Nationals may take place during a Pokemon event from July 26th to 27th. Not confirmed yet.
