Collin’s team was trick room-less, he just played to its phenomenal bulk.
Lot of really cool stuff, but just a few teams that I think deserve some extra kudos (as in, not Sejun. because although his team was beautiful, we all know that):
I absolutely love Lee’s team. You can’t tell from the mons here but it had a lot of amazingly cool sets that I hope he will choose to divulge. It was very reminiscent of flash’s 2012 worlds team, in terms of what we now call “standard non-standard”. Amazing stuff.
I love both Kyriakou and Lati’s teams as well. I think Kyriakou’s was a lot more refined, but in general I think they both had the same kind of idea and I really enjoyed it. I think that more defensive, bulky style of play usually only sees one manifestation per metagame, but their ferro / gyara / lightningrod / flower / moltres thing is an almost equally valid expression of the kanga / electric / aegi / mence / ttar thing that is already very popular.
Finally, really got a kick out of Alberto’s team. I don’t really know what’s going on but I think it’s rad. Mega aero and mega charizard-x are both nutty things I’ve tried out to moderate success, so I just think it’s cool that anybody had the balls to run both.
Seeing all the teams is always my favorite part of worlds. I think it was Scott that said something akin to, it’s very difficult to beat all of the best players in the world with the exact six Pokemon they were expecting to see, so the slight innovation without going crazy is always very interesting to follow.

Ton of cool teams here, including: Markus Liu, Ashton Cox, and Ben Kyriakou’s teams.

Oh boy, that Lapras representation. I swear there were a lot of Sableye, but it turns out only Arash used one, huh?
I’m gonna have to say that Lapras probably wasn’t a good meta call for Worlds personally. I rarely used her in the actual event, and when I did, she didn’t really contribute as much as she did at Nationals. Still, I think I’ve used her for far too long to swap her out now.
Also, I was the only user of Chandelure? Interesting. Great creativity and innovation by all competitors though, seriously!

External Worlds pokemon in order of generated wins. If it wasn’t clear, Garchomp absolutely dominated, with Rotom-h and Amoonguss sucking. Rotom-H still managed to get 2 in cut but the large majority of rotom-h users did pretty badly. Also CharY for best mega

Definitely some interesting teams, most notably Se Jun obviously, but Dayne and Ray had rather interesting teams. And Ashton, using Sawk and Aggron, wondered how it worked for him and what sets he used on those pokes.

Very interesting to see these stats, especially the different Rotom forms making appearances.

Yes, some cool teams here – but no one has given a shout out to Omari’s team yet, which I thought was very nice. His set with Sejun on the big screen was probably the most enjoyable of the weekend for me. Mega Garchomp, Earthquake Conkeldurr, Kee Berry Zapdos, etc. – it only lost the second game against Sejun to a Waterfall Flinch. It’s just a shame that he couldn’t top cut after that loss, like I felt it probably deserved to.
Respect to Mike for using a really cool team too :]]]

Surprised to see Florges used here at all, I though that thing completely died earlier on in the season.

I really like Alberto Gini’s Team, Really works together but could do with atleast 1 pokemon change. 🙂
