55Teams from the 2015 Pokémon World Championships

Here are what the 77 players who competed in Day 2 of the 2015 World Championships used.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the research involved. 75 Pokémon including 12 different Mega Pokémon made their appearance in the competition.

There was a surprising amount of Entei :O
Considering how few I’ve seen all year.
At first the japanese flags seemed like big red bullet points lol.
But considering that everybody’s only been talking about CHALK the other teams outside of cut actually surprised me quite a bit. There is some nice diversity in there, pity we didn’t get a top 16 (or every x-2 cuts), to showcase those teams as well.
Top 16 is really diverse 🙂
Woo! I had the only Liepard, Scizor and Breloom to go positive at Worlds. Pretty surprised I’m the only person that went positive with a Breloom (only three in total!)…
Absolutely loving that Mega-Venusaur in 9th place! It’s a real shame that those who went 5-2 didn’t get a chance to go any further. With the amount of people a top 16 in the future would make for more team diversity and of course more battles to view on stream.

It was cool to see a Mega Blastoise at 16th Place. I tried it before I’m glad to see it make it far. Now I know how my team should look
Jolteon!
A lot more Charizard then I expected. Still plenty of cool teams here. When are usage stats coming out?
Unless someone else is already doing it, I can probably have it done today. Probably later tonight. I’ll post it here when I’m done, unless someone else already has.
I am honestly shocked to see Jolteon used at worlds. I am curious as to what it did on the team, and what made it the best fir for the team, as normally it is outclassed by Pachirisu, Thundurus T and Manectric. And I will do usage stats and have them up in about an hour, as I have free time right now and can do them.
So there’s a Mega Venusaur, Mega Blastoise, Mega Charizard X, and Reuniclus in t16. #WeNeedTop16Worlds
Generally… Jolteon has access to Fake Tears, and with its speed, it can really bust up some teams.
I think World’s needed a Top 16 cut given just how many 5-2s were there. Wow.
That Jolteon had HP Ground IIRC lol
Also, do we have Paul Chua’s team correct? I could have sworn he used P2 on both days.
I’d like to thank Gavin to helping coordinate the team collection. Let me know if something is wrong. I just did the grunt work of putting it in an article. I may have screwed something up as there were 77 rows of data and about half of them had a Landorus-T for me to lose my place on.
Fixing Paul’s team.
dat aurorus doe
Kotaro Nakagome though. Geomancy hype. Props to everyone who competed! Regardless of your finishes, you’ve all displayed tremendous amounts of skill <3
Cool.
But how about dem EV spreads, tho?
I was waiting for this, even if there isn’t any senior team
Please tag me as Hemi86, I’m Henry Laura
Thank you very much in advance 🙂
I have the usage statistics. You can find them here. I am still working on the percentages which will take a moment. I will update these with Paul’s team included in a short bit.

Ok ma porco dio please, stop writing my surname as Luliano. It’s Iuliano
I’m pretty surprised I was the only one that considered Talonflame as a Pokemon that was still viable in the World’s meta. I didn’t get a positive record, but next year I’ll work very hard to be able to make it to Top 8. See you guys again in San Francisco
Please forgive any errors. If anyone wants to take this data and transcribe it into a more readable form, please be my guest.

I already posted it above in a google spread sheet. Sorry dude
Hey, no problem. I’m “at work”, so can’t view Google spreadsheets.
I would love to see more of that misdrevus and ine know what its set was?
My absolute favorite team has to be the one with Landorus-T!
Pretty cool teams!
I especially love Paul Chua’s team, as he’s using Mawile and Garchomp, a combination that really worked well for me this year.
