Cool to see one of my battles got uploaded, I had no idea that was Scott

    GG m8

  2. DaWoblefet says:

My battle video is nothing extraordinary, as that Metagross didn’t have Meteor Mash OR Bullet Punch, so if you watch my Battle Vid that’s why I spam Zen Headbutt on a Cresselia. But other than that, my oppponent was a complete idiot, and that’s why I uploaded the video.

  3. Scott says:

    yeah gg

also did we switch from “send Eiganjo battle video #s” to “just upload whatever is on vsplayer” at some point without me being told

because i wouldn’t have been for that

  4. Dillon says:

Why wasn’t ashclops using air cutter?  I thought it was really good and eased prediction.

Just look on his pokecheck account, you can see his Salamence using it External and External.

Real quality battlers there. Ominous Wind Salamence, CB Steelix, Aura Sphere Mienshao, and Special LO Gyarados are all the rage.

Let me guess, Ominous Wind probably eases prediction by givng a 10% chance to boost all stats? Or to hit Cress for SE damage? (Tip: Dragon Pulse always hits for more)

  7. R Inanimate says:

Although, in the end, I didn’t quite enjoy the team I ran in this tourney, I definitely enjoyed the battles that I saved. Hopefully, other people do too.

  8. Calm Lava says:

which battle is the kecleon and donphan one?

any of the ones by feathers.

I originally had dragonsbreath instead of draco on Salamence bc I wanted to try technician/intimidate skill swapping. Air cutter and ominous wind fit the technician criteria. Awesome that you guys have found the one time I posted a Salamence using air cutter. Note that it netted two kos which rockslide would have missed out on, but anyways Marco when will you get over the recommendation of this move? Is this really related to my win over you in San Jose? Youre a good battler, dont let the bitter taste of defeat get to your head. I cant help but feel that you are bringing more to this discussion than simply a disapproval for one gold/silver tutor move.

I think you’re giving yourself a little too much credit here. I’m not the type of person to hold a grudge over a battle that happened 8 months ago. Just pointing out flawed movesets when there are clearly superior options available. But if that floats your boat, so be it. A ban and a thread showing damage calcs over a move you insist works clearly wasn’t enough to convince you, so I don’t know what will.

while i think it would probably be a lot to keep track of for one person, i don’t think we should be uploading stuff without the battlers permission (the person who saved and uploaded the battle vid, since getting the other person’s permission is sometimes/usually next to impossible). if you admins/mods made a specific account and shared the password for it, it would be easier to keep track of submitted battle videos and possibly help out with recording them :)

e: i mean share the passwords amongst yourselves and have us submit our bv’s via pming that account if that wasn’t clear :P

So against a team that had godawful IV’s and horribly designed moves/items you don’t think that you would’ve beaten them without Air Cutter? You are aware that Dragonite is weak to Rock Slide, and you would’ve gotten that KO, but it doesn’t matter because you were scared of Aura Sphere Mienshao. Whatever happened to uploading videos against a player with at least some degree of skill? I can upload any video of a < 1200 rating player where I critted and beat them with air cutter. If I can take anything from this thread its that Technician Ominous Wind Salamence is better than Swift Swim Kingdra ggs.

  14. i was a bit suprised at how basic/predictable some of the foriegn players were

Im not sure that this deserves a response, but I will try.
Air Cutter KO’d a pair that rockslide wouldn’t have, a fighter and a flyer. Im not sure where you got I was “scared of Aura Sphere” but no, no I wasn’t. As to why this video was uploaded, I sometimes enjoy checking to see of some of these unusual teams are well bred/RNG’d/EV’d. This team was not. Lastly, Im not sure why you brought Kingdra up, but yes outside of the rain Salamence is more offensive.

You’re a good man for not holding a grudge. My ban had nothing to do with Air Cutter, and you never disqualified Air Cutter as a viable moveslot in the two situations where I think it might be relevant, -2 Salamence, and Zapdos that has already dedicated Hidden Power to ice/grass.
I truly appreciate how thorough you have been and I hope that your inability to convince me to think as you do will not in any way discourage you from such rigorous research and contributions in the future.
