Dates and Opponents for Pokémon World Tournament Event Revealed

Although we’ll be getting our official news on October 15th, the Japanese Pokémon website has updated with details on the downloadable 2012 Pokémon World Championships event. For those who didn’t see our last story, you’ll be able to download the teams of top-ranking training from the World Championships to play against in the Pokémon World Tournament mode in Driftveil City.

As predicted, each of the three dates will feature the Top 4 of each age division. Although the dates are only confirmed for Japan at this time, we think it is safe to assume that they will apply worldwide.

Junior Division – October 22nd, 2012

  1. Abram Burrows
  2. Brian Hough
  3. Brendan Zheng (Babbytron)
  4. Kippei Takaki

Senior Division – November 5th, 2012

  1. Toler Webb (Dim)
  2. Jaime Martínez Alonso (repr4y)
  3. Nitesh Manem (nachocheese999)
  4. Henry Maxon (Snake)

Masters Division – November 19th, 2012

  1. Ray Rizzo (Ray)
  2. Wolfe Glick (Wolfey)
  3. Abel Martín Sanz (Flash)
  4. Joe Pulkowski (sandman)

Judging by the screenshots, the players will not receive custom trainer sprites and their real names will be used instead of their in-game trainer names.
