Meloetta Event at GameStop and EB Games (Updated)

Gotta Catch ‘Em All! The famous tagline may no longer be in use, but players haven’t forgotten it. Of the first 649 Pokémon, Meloetta is the only one that has not seen release outside Japan and next month you’ll finally be able to get your hands on one! GameStop stores across the United States will offer Meloetta from March 4th. The promotion should run until March 24th according to this image. Canadians can receive the Melody Pokémon from EB Games starting March 9th and ending on April 19th. All four 5th Generation games are able to take advantage of this promotion.

We currently do not have any information on distributions outside these two countries but will update once we do! Unfortunately, this distribution happens after the 2013 Winter Friendly but you should still be able to use any Meloettas you receive from a Japanese friend!

Update: Australia & New Zealand

If you live in Australia or New Zealand, you will be able to pick up your Meloetta between March 4th and April 19th. Aussies can pop down to their nearest EB Games or Target while Kiwis will need to find their closest participating JB Hi-Fi. The full list of participating stores can be found in the PDF linked to on the official Nintendo website.

Update: Europe

The distribution will start at selected retailers from March 22nd to April 19th.

  • United Kingdom: GAME
  • Italy: Gamelife, Bond Games, GameStop, and Opengames
  • Spain: Blade Center, Canal Ocio, El Corte Inglés, Fnac, Game, GameStop, Hipercor, Media Markt, Saturn, Toys”R”Us, and Worten

The specific retailers in other countries are unknown at this time.

Update: Latin America

The distribution will be from March 22nd to April 19th in most countries.

Special thanks to the folks at NeoGAF for finding many of these locations.
