Road to Apex Seedings Finalized

Trainers from across the country and the world will meet at the Apex Series, the largest Super Smash Bros. and grassroots Pokemon tournament in the States, this Friday, January 11th, for a chance at a significant cash prize pool and important momentum heading into the January 20th VGCS Regionals. Before all that could happen, however, Nugget Bridge, in partnership with Apex organizers, hosted a six week live tournament series to determine seedings for the Pokemon Black and White 2 tournament at Apex. Overall, six tournaments were played with 65 participants total, all of whom will receive a significant advantage over unseeded players when they attend Apex. To the surprise of no one, perennial top finisher and two-time Seniors National Champion Cybertron took the number one seed on the strength of his two first place finishes at the very start of the Apex Qualifiers. Cybertron will enter Apex as the number one seed and, thus, the top target to be taken down. You can find the full standings here.

Nugget Bridge is looking forward to some intense competition this weekend, and don’t forget to say hi to the NB staff at the event.
