  2. Billa says:

It might be to late but i checked all 3 lists again and i recognized, that 2 german Juniors are missing.

Its the german runner up Samet and Marvin Adesina (Top4 at german nationals).
The problem is that they are not familiar with Nuggetbridge or any other Pokemon Website/Forum and both had not activate their Play Pokemon Account due to not knowing they had to, cause both reached Top4 at German Nats last year, where you didnt have to wait for final CP standings and also didnt have to activate your Play Pokemon Account. So their names dont show up at the rankings

With 480 and 360 CP, both would be in T16 in Europe. I know it might be to late, but they are Juniors. Just sayin

  3. Senior14 says:

    I’m Aniello Iuliano

  4. MSK says:

My son is Ethan King (18th on Juniors list for Europe), but unfortunately we won’t be able to attend this year as can’t afford it.
He’ll be back next year though and attending all 3 European Nationals with me not just UK, so fingers crossed he’ll be making Worlds 2015 ;)

  5. iZocker says:

ah i got my travel award, i am Tim S btw :]
congrats to all others who got their invites and travel awards!

  6. hoult66 says:

Yay, Adam made it in Juniors! Gl to all.

  7. sagaciousslowpoke says:

Good job to everyone who has the invite. And I hope for the people that are going you do all really well ^^

  8. 13Yoshi37 says:

Oh there is a very unique concert featuring pokemon music kicking off friday before worlds? why not have player meeting scheduled at the same time they open the doors because who would pay > 50 $ to listen to pokemon music? definitely not pokemon players!

gl to everyone and see you there!

  9. How big is TC now with the addition to LCQ?

  10. Gilbert says:

Yay I made it! Can someone tell me if I have to pay for my own tickets or I get my ride payed for?

  11. Jayhonas says:

For completeness’ sake, dot_Ninja’s name is Johannes Botma.

  12. Because that has the same level of impact as letting someone in when they were tied in CP. Obviously. The only “rule” you’re working from is the way that ties were solved in the last case that there were ties, in relation to a completely different situation.

Well what impact does letting in 8 people verses 4 people in LCQ? If the rules can change AFTER they get published online, it kind of sets a precedent that they can do whatever they want.

What happens if in the final LCQ match a connection issue arises and they can’t finish the match? Should they call it a draw and let 5 people in? How is that fair to the 3 other people who lost in top 8?

Complaining won’t get me the $350 in travel stipend back I lost to ELO tie, but maybe I won’t have to show up to a tournament in the future and wonder if the PUBLISHED rules will be followed or if they will make them up on the fly.

  13. Maestro says:

It would be interesting to see how the invite lists might’ve played out had CP been distributed evenly to all outside of top cut who tied on record.  Things like finishing 17th rather than 16th in a Regional–when tied on record with 8th!–or finishing 34th rather than 32nd likely had a huge impact on the Nationals byes and the final Worlds standings.  I know that most aren’t a fan of the opponents’ and opponents’ opponents’ win % tie-breakers.  For top cut, it seems a necessity, but for the rest, it has always seemed inherently unfair that the CP distributions are so hard line.  Oh well.  In this case, the rules have been clear.  It just really stinks when you miss out on a higher CP earning due to the performance of your assigned opponents.

  14. Irondusk says:

Hope next year we can see more players from other Asia countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, or Malaysia!

  15. Maestro says:

As I noted earlier, I applaud the decision to invite the tied players; however, the entire issue of rules, which seem to be unclear at times and to shift at others–is a big deal.  For those who feel that they have been on the wrong side of a ruling, it can be hard to swallow apparent generosities, even if you agree that generosity is the way to go. For me, I’m still burned by an auto-loss suffered by my son when separate Pokemon staffers told us to go to lunch at the wrong time and when the online pairing website failed at the same time; he still finished 16th at that very problematically-run Region, but missed a shot at top cut due to the auto-loss, and there was a domino effect in his missing out on more points, a Natl’s bye, etc.  Not all were fans of the late addition of Premier Challenges and International Challenges, which forced players atop the lists to more play just to hold their positions.  No favors were done by controversy in the Nationals Masters tournament either, where the legality of one Pokemon was questioned (don’t mean to dredge that up or even make a statement on it, other than to note that the sloppiness there creates a ripple effect and leads to mistrust . . . squelching the topic doesn’t help either).  Some will always wonder: if I (or my son) were the focus of the decision, would the the exception or generosity be granted?  Paranoia and belief in favoritism are hard to avoid in these situations, even if they really are not in play.  It’s been a long, very challenging season.

I can help with Japanese Juniors and Seniors.

    Juniors 1st place
    Riku Myoshi (Manectric/Amoonguss/Rotom-H/Salamence/Kangaskhan/Aerodactyl)

    Junior Division Runner Up

    Tashiro Kouta (Meowstic/Rotom-W/Garchomp/Kangaskhan/Mienshao/Charizard)

    Senior Division Winner Yahiro Kazutaka

    (Politoed/Kingdra/Talonflame/Hydreigon/Aegislash/Kangaskhan)

Senior Division Runner Up Furogori Takumi
    (Politoed/Kingdra/Ferrothorn/Mawile/Zapdos/Hydreigon)

I think Fuko Nakamichi may have an invite due to her 2nd place finish last year.

  17. Bramblestar1227 says:

I’m DoubleZ1227 in US Senior division.

  18. harvest says:

I don’t understand, in pokemon.com in european junior division enzo tigroudja was first and his brother 15, it’s the real ranking?

Only the 16 firts of the list win the paid trip? thanks a lot (a dad)

Look through those for who has a trip and who does not. Article lists players in ABC order.

  20. Anghelo says:

someday i’ll be on that list, beyond doubt

  21. Dark51 says:

Hope next year we can see more players from other Asia countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, or Malaysia!

I know that several Taiwanese players were given chances to participate in the Battle Gloria Cup as part of the Japanese circuit. Hong Kong and Singapore had several unofficial grassroots. Other than these instances, however, the four communities referenced aren’t particularly involved due to a fairly obvious reason: they lack organization. I have yet to find an official pokemon forum in Cantonese or Mandarin. The VGC Pokemon players usually just congregate on broader gaming forums analagous to gamefaqs.

  22. hoult66 says:

Good luck to everybody there, I’ll be doing better next season.

  23. masterofthecosmos says:

the senior emforbes6 is Emilio Forbes

  24. Flash says:

The problem with inconsistency is real. For example, here in Europe, last year, they decided the same day of UK nats that there were going to give 8 paid trips instead of 4, and that’s unfair for the people who didn’t show up because they had to decide which tournament of the only 3 of our season they were going to. It’s hard to ask for days in our jobs or to miss a lot of days of school in the same month, so even if you can afford to go to the 3 European Nats, it’s actually really hard to go to all 3.

Then this year they did a top 16 at Bochum, then top 32 at Manchester and finally all x-2 at Milan and they announced that on the fly. It’s good to let all x-2 top cut, don’t get me wrong, but knowing that, Milan would have been the best option for many players.

  25. Dragoran5 says:

    juhu

see you again in DC 😀

good luck for everyone and have fun!

    Anyone else catch this:

It’s exactly the same as what we’ve had in effect all season.

  29. Soon says:

Hope next year we can see more players from other Asia countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, or Malaysia!

It gonna be a big hurdle for this to really happen, but nothing can stop us from keep trying.

I personally knew there will be Taiwanese going to grind LCQ this year.
And it is a fine lady. ;)
