  1. More tcg championship point opportunities? I love you sooooooo much tpci. Have my babies

  2. Scott says:

    Glad to see multibattles as a side this year. I think it’s definitely what the VGC community is most interested in, and singles is sort of obligatory as the other. Imagine attendance will probably cap this year for both, should be fun.

    Might putz around with them if I’m able. I don’t think I’d be able to finish the multi one, but I should definitely team up with skarm and see if we can do the impossible and stay alive long enough that I have to leave to commentate so we can lose to activity in real life.

    Looks like I can probably play singles if the stream isn’t horrifically behind though I guess? Smogon friends plz help

  3. Xenoblade Hero says:

    That looks brilliant, it’s a shame we didn’t have a dedicated side event schedule at Europeon Nationals (the side events that were done had no real advertising so I missed out on them!)

  4. IceKingz says:

    Do we know the rule set for the singles and multi? Is it only VGC viable mons or what?

  5. Braverius says:

    External to remind everyone (except Jio and Biosci :D :D :D) how fun multibattle side events are!

    (Note: If you ever hear someone talk about going “JhenMohran mode”, this is where it came to fruition.)

  6. shinryu says:

    For some reason it isn’t displaying on my phone. But yay for swag; granted I hope I don’t end up having to do them since I’d rather not be knocked out before day 2, but it’s nice to know those options are there.

  7. TwiddleDee says:

    Multi Battle sounds REALLY fun!

  8. MajorBowman says:

    Is it safe to assume that the Multi/Single battle events will follow the same banlist as the main event?

  9. AlphaZealot says:

    Yes – same legality list as Nationals.

  10. R Inanimate says:

    Multi Battle Side event sounds cool. I get to show why I’m a really terrible partner in these.
    Also, since the Kalos Dex rule applies to both side events… does that me we literally have “VGC Singles” here?

  11. plaid says:

    Scott please you have to partner with me for multibattles so people can CHALLENGE THE COMMENTATORS.

    Although me/JFlynn would probably be the more hilarious multibattle team.

  12. Technoz says:

    “2-Player teams. Limited to 32 teams per age division. Prizes to be announced.” Does this mean that TPCi is actually age segregating side events? Because that would suck, and it is stupid, just saying…

  13. mattj says:

    I hope so. Playing Juniors is not fun. And there will definitely be enough people per division.

  14. break says:

    oh…no triple battle side-events this year ?

    * such a disappointment *

    I am assuming that the “On Demand” times mean whenever they get enough entrants.

    also hoping that the “Promo Prizes” are not pokemon cards >_<"

    anyhow, my team and I will be there…a nice opportunity to meet us in-person.

    * Team Gun-Leo *

  15. MajorBowman says:

    How do species and item clauses work for the multi event? I’m guessing it just applies to each individual player but wanted to be sure
