Nugget Bridge Major 3 Signups Have Begun!

The 3rd Nugget Bridge Major has now started to take signups. If you couldn’t make it to an XY Regional this season, this is the perfect opportunity to see how you fair against the best of the best in Nugget Bridge’s biggest tournament. Who will join previous winners R Inanimate and MrFox? It can be anyone, will it be you?

The Major has also undergone some changes and to better mirror the real life competitions, the Major will now be a Swiss style tournament with a single elimination top cut. This means even if you lose round 1 (or at all) you still have a chance to be declared the Nugget Bridge Major Champion! This and more specific rules can be found in the signup thread on the forums.

As always there will be prizes for the top competitors along with the automatic Nugget Bridge Invitational invite, so bring your best!

The third Nugget Bridge Major is now upon us! Even if you can’t make it to a VGC Regional, this will be the closest thing to one of those online. The Major has undergone some changes as compared to last time. Some of those changes along with the important rules:

The entire tournament is now Swiss and leads to a final single elimination top cut to determine the champion

The top 8 players will receive and automatic invite to the season ending Invitational

Games will be played in a best of 3 match, the winner of 2 games will be declared the winner of the match.

You may not change teams during that best of 3, you can however change teams between rounds.

Games must be played on WiFi. In certain circumstances Pokemon Showdown may be used, but it needs to be cleared with http://nuggetbridge.com/forums/user/3-makiri/, the tournament host.

The rules will be the http://nuggetbridge.com/forums/topic/2816-nugget-bridge-circuit-format/

This is not a live tournament. Matches will play out over the course of the week.

As mentioned it is Swiss, just because you lose it does not mean you are done, play the tournament out!

Signups will last until January 26, 2014 at 11:59 PM PST and round 1 will be up January 27th, 2014. Nugget Bridge Tournament rules apply throughout the tournament so make sure you are aware of those prior to signing up. On top of automatic invitation to the Invitational, top players will receive prizes like t-shirts, gift cards, and Pokemon.

To signup, please indicate you are signing up and also post your 3DS friend code for easy reference. Posts without a friend code will not be counted as a signup.
