Results from the 2015 International Challenge – April

As the first online ladder tournament with a game limit to award CP this season — and the first to not split it up by region — the results will be a really strong indication of where players will need to aim for next time. 6,293 Masters division players and 825 Junior/Senior division players played in this tournament. Japanese and Korean players were not permitted to enter.

  1. Pound says:

Got 3 disconnected on my side in the first 3 matches, fell to 1450. Glad to make it back and secure 1 CP lol

  2. Zekira Drake says:

Does anyone know when the CP will reflect on the My Play! Pokemon page? Page says it was updated a few hours ago, but there’s nothing there. I also don’t have a single Play! Point for the 2015 season. What?

Also, does anyone know why, no matter how many times I click “Submit” for the “Yes, Opt to participate in play (etc)” menu, everytime I refresh the page, it still asks me again and the “Yes” option is not highlighted? I have a feeling pokemon.com might not have put me in the Play! Pokemon participation properly…

I was worried about the same thing regarding Play! Points but they have allocated them correctly so far so you should be ok even though the page doesn’t really indicate that you’re opted in to the Play! Points program.

Like, no matter how many times I click the Yes on Submit, this is always what the page looks like, as if I never even touched this page at all.

What’s even weirder is sometimes I see this:

While other times, I see this:

    Uh.

  5. Min says:

Got 64th place. Slightly disappointed being that I lost to kai and Li.prox and they got high places not to mention I lost way more matches then I wanted too. But 3 cp so whooooo(I guess)

  6. AlphaZealot says:

There was a large update for pokemon.com this week. The goal is to have the Internation Challenge results uploaded early next week.

  7. CP has been handed out!

  8. Benster says:

Tearing up the European circuit with my 4 CP.

Interesting that my standing is shown as “17 of 2754” when it should be “19 of 6293”. Were that many players really not eligible for CP? I can’t currently think of another explanation.

  9. AlphaZealot says:

The data is based on players who had Player IDs and their account information from the week of the tournament. Accounts without a Player ID attached are not counted for Play! Points or for Championship Points and are therefore removed.

Players who did not get Championship Points will still receive a Play! Point for the event.

  10. MSK says:

Hooray!! Bonus 1 CP for me :)

And a massive congratulations to my son who won Juniors!! Another 12 CP taking him to 336 for the season, fingers crossed a good performance in Germany this weekend and World’s is getting nearer :)
