  2. Cybertron says:

    How about Juniors?

  3. Feis says:

Aaah, today was very nice. Went 5-1 in Swiss after billabro dropped against me in R4. :) Lost against Javier. In Topcut, i lost against bissbark which was imho because of hax… Btw, i’m Faaiz A.

@Cybertron: I don’t know the exact results, but i know that sewadle’s brother has won a trip :D

  4. Calm Lava says:

Any cool teams pop up this time? I heard of someone using nine tales which is pretty cool

  5. Gonzo says:

Umbreon and Tornadus-T were used too which is super awesome. I can’t wait to see reports!

Congrats to both Gini Bros. Do your best for Europe in Vancouver!

  6. Billa says:

    Juniors results

    1. Marvin (3rd time german juniors champ)
    2. Massis brother
    3. Billa-Sis
    4. Random
    5. Sewadles brother
    6-8 random

  7. Cybertron says:

Pretty sure that was a match from FLASH before today, it was definitely on Pokecheck prior to the tournament.

Congrats to all the winners, Alby is an awesome guy and it’s great to see him win. The Ginis have 4 trips and 3 invites between them at this point which is crazy, forget #stopray more like #stopgini! Great competitors and great guys, really excited to see all of them in the field this year.

Also shout out to toazsdt for repping senior class of 2012, very impressive next to Dragoran5’s 2nd place finish last week. And of course Luca and Mohsyn’s finish today, congrats to bcaralarm for becoming the first three time national champion in the world in back to back to back years! Tough luck Plusle but I have no doubt you’ll rebound in UK.

Impressed by how quickly the event ran this time, looks like the TOs and organizers did a great job. The European field already looks really strong for Vancouver, gonna enjoy watching the bloodbath for the last four trips lol

Also am really enjoying the fact that if there are less than 64 Juniors at UK everyone with CP qualify for Worlds. PLAY IN WI-FI GET RANKED GET INVITE !!!!!!!!

  8. bcaralarm says:

i love derping at my first national.

ps america its a good strategy!!

anyway great day, met so many old friends and made some new ones too! hi are you od????
    perhaps a warstory ?_?

  9. Toquill says:

Yeeeeyy less people to worry about beating me in UK 😀

  10. Bopper says:

I believe Lajo was using ninetails

  11. Flash says:

Cybertron is right, that’s my team but that battle isn’t from the Bochum event because I didn’t attend xD I’m going to Birmingham.

PD: Congrats to all who qualified. I’m sad Drug duck didn’t make it but that’s life

  12. Flash says:

btw it seems I can’t quote right a reply xD ^

  13. Massi says:

Lajo ran Skill swap Cresselia, bulky sub lefties Heatran, Scrafty, Amoonguss, Fire Gem Overheat, Solar Beam, Power Swap Ninetales and Offensive hp ice charty Thundurus-i.
Toasdt played pretty got in their top8 match, catching the switching Heatran with Ground moves in the two games he won :)
Cool stuff in the top4: Scarf Abomasnow (toasdt) + Baribi Berry Fire Punch Tyranitar (toasdt + Michilele)

    (post by Yoshi)

  14. woopahking says:

This was fun. I felt more calm there than in any other tournament I’ve played in. Congrats to everyone who qualified

  15. bearsfan092 says:

I’m curious how much Tyranitar is being run over there now that Yoshi mentions Lajo’s team.  I know it has Scrafty, but it’s not too difficult to play around.  Still digging the Power Swap Ninetales.  It reminds me of a certain Exeggutor.

What I really get a kick out of is the Babiri Berry Ttar.  That was something we saw back in gen IV singles OU almost purely as a Scizor trap on our DDtar sets.  It’s not all that effective against Metagross in VGC,, and I can see Escavelier opting to use Megahorn in those scenarios.  I’m inferring that Scizor is even more popular overseas than it is here, but that might be erroneous since I’m judging it off just two top cut participants.

  16. Baz Anderson says:

So I am listed as 13th on there, but apparently the top 16 (etc.) places from Milan were taken from the Swiss results – and not who they were knocked out by. So if it is this way again, I should be 10th… we’ll see the results some time this week on the official website when they come out though.

(Significant because of the difference in CP for 9th-12th and 13th-16th)

Swiss placings would break ties for the round you were knocked out in. You were knocked out the same round as the #1, #2, #4, and #5 seeds putting you (#6 seed) in 13th.

  18. Greyfox says:

    It is gAlassi, not gElassi!

  19. AlphaZealot says:

Passdowns for this event will be honored since the pokémon.com website did not have the updated language. This effects one Junior division player and 1 senior division player.

  20. Baz Anderson says:

Nice! Hopefully that means the CP will update shortly… it will be nice to know the byes for Birmingham and what I need to do to end in the top 16 at least.

  21. 13Yoshi37 says:

Very good job solving this issue, AlphaZealot! Thanks a lot.

  22. Congratulations to everyone that got an invite or just got far. Now im wondering if i will still have enough CP to have a bye for Birmingham. oh well, what happens, happens.

  23. Billa says:

    TCPi have my fullest respect!

Looking forward to the last european meeting of the best community 😉

Fixed. Not sure if this was because I wrote that on 3 hours of “sleep” or if it was wrong on the online pairings. Are you Lorenzo?

  25. Sekiam says:

I reached the Top 8 in the VGC of Milan, loosing against Matty, but I forgot my ID at home and I got a new one there. Because of this, the 110 points were not added to my Play!Pokémon account. I just saw the rating and I should be into the Top 16, so I should have a “bye” in the first round at the VGC of Birmingham, where I will also participate. I have written to TPCi several times but have not received a response. I need to change that before next Sunday. Could someone help me? :S

  26. Matty says:

    Yeah, he is Lorenzo Galassi

  27. Billa says:

    Seniors:
Markus L.(Henrique) is from Germany and Clayton is from France.

  28. Proman says:

    I’m Javier S of seniors
