    Very Strong Indeed

  5. Just got back to competitive battling after hectic studies ended. Got off 8 battles with 3 ragequits. Debating whether or not I should quit now, but I’m afraid I’m in the danger range of a disqualification. What do you guys think?

Come to think of it, we are entering the “ragequit period” that a friend of mine mentioned that Saturday night onwards will have many people disconnecting to keep their scores. So that’s the only argument I had for stopping now.

Someone please quote my post in your reply, so I can find it easily.

    Happy battling people!

About to get off the road and go to the vacation home where I can Continue! :D
Plusle please slow down… I am only at 1887 xP

My goal is 1925 by the end of the night.

  7. Plusle says:

    I lost 1 game (double heat wave burn  :( ) so I am quitting the tournament at 63W – 1L – 14DC 1899. GGs everyone I played

  8. Shadual says:

Well, I’m getting DQed. Sitting at 33-3-13. I have no more faith in the players I fight, and having WiFi that gives out every once in a while, tonight’s going to be interesting. Currently at 1736.

  9. Hurricane says:

Haven’t played for some time. I’m at 1608.

  10. Plusle says:

Never said it was fully my team, it is heavily based off that team with a few changes.

    edit: yes Fatum

  11. Fatum says:

Isn’t that what Mean used in Bochum?

50-7-11 total and 90% win ratio for day 2 so far, quite some time ago I had that the last time, though most opponents were trash…

  12. Mr Rock says:

1688, not bad, but I don’t think I’ll have more time to play. I’m not too crazy about the way these tourneys are run, might not even play in them anymore (it’s not like I needed to try to win any CP anyway, lol).

  13. Lati says:

Calling it quits for today with about 1700.

Today was far more competitive than yesterday. I faced a lot more competent teams and didn´t have as many easy wins as I had yesterday. Unfortunately, the DCs also reached an all-time high for me: I even got 4 DCs in a row once. As usual, I doubt that I´ll rank.^^ Oh well, I´ve been DQ´d too often to really care about this anymore.

    Memorable moments:
-a team revolving around Fake Tears: Had a little nostalgic moment when I´ve seen it.^^
-playing my first NB member (R_Inanimate) in this tourney and failing horribly. GG regardless, though^^
-playing the same person twice: First match was a DC while on the second one, he took the loss
-getting DC´d on while the opponent was about to give me the final blow: What happened afterwards was even stranger, though. Shortly after the dreaded blue screen where I even wrote on IRC that someone DC´d on me while winning (if I would have done that, I woudn´t be dumb enough to mention it in a chat, would I?), Blitz came on and told me that I apparently DC´d on his friend. Well, this conclusion definitely is understandable if you look at it from a neutral perspective since he was winning but I´d have thought that he´d know me well enough that I don´t do things like that. Oh well. Because I don´t want to be set on one level with people who actually need this to maintain their ranking and because the thought of being compared to people the people who piss me off myself by one of my friends deeply sickens me, I´ll forfeit when I see him the next time. This might not be much but it´s the most I can do.
I´m actually only writing this in hopes that he´ll see it. I didn´t get a chance to explain the whole situation in a calm matter on IRC (mainly because the whole thing threw me off myself), so I figured I´d do it here. (to make it look like I actually have something interesting to write about…) Sorry again.^^ Believe me, I´d have rather taken the loss then the DC – I can get the points back if I try hard enough but the DCs will make all the effort meaningless… Oh well, let´s hope we both don´t run into many anymore. Good luck for the rest of the tournament.^^

  14. I feel like I’m gonna be dq’d.
    Record: 70-3-19. 1855

  15. I can’t tell if what little skill I had eroded in the past month of not playing or if it’s because I’m using a different team or if I’m just getting fewer matchups with bad players. I’ve been doing horribly – can’t seem to get too far away from .500 :(

  16. Recon X says:

I’ll be Recon X from California

Correction: I’ll be Aaron from California. Stupid PGL won’t let me register my Black 2 cartridge. I’m going to (finally) start playing.

  17. NidoRich says:

I know some people have more right to blissey and moan but seriously. All of my losses have come from hax :/ I wanted to have a better result but I guess it can’t be pokemon without having things frozen, things missing and them crits. Don’t get me wrong though, these are the things that make the game exciting rather than some boring sequence of attacks xD

  18. Chiron says:

Congradulations WiFi for dropping me out during card preview against a South Korean with a rating of 1895. The name was two characters long and their phrase was something about CAMERA and VERSUS. Possibly they are streaming it? Does anyone know who it was because I was genuinely excited to play them and pretty annoyed my Internet dropped out.

  19. Scott says:

Any idea if the name was 세준? That’d be the Korean I expect to see around there…

I just might have came across that guy.  You prob didn’t want to fight him anyway… He DC’d on me when I beat him >: o
Although, the guy I faced was location: none.

  21. Koryo says:

You need to learn to play through/around hax, I’ve had such bs hax but have only lost once in 51 battles, pulling off a win even though you’ve been haxed is the sign of a real master ;)

  22. Kyoto says:

Had a great game against a jakob. Here’s the battle if anyone cares to see it: 61-27878-58768. Bisharp doing work in this one. KO’d his whole team with it. I done about 20 matches and im approaching the 1700s if i haven’t passed it already (too lazy to check) . Been lazy lately and didn’t really feel like doing a lot of matches.

  23. Oreios says:

Battled this guy who took like 2-3 minutes per move.

  24. Lajo says:

There were some rumors here that japanese players get more crits then others right?
Well, I think its true. Just got in 2 games 7crits. Both from japanese players. I won one, but lost the other game. And in the second game, I got 4 crits from a CHOICE BAND Tyranitar.
    Thats just ridiculous…
Here is the vid, if someone is interested…

  25. Die2Distroy says:

All these DCers are rediculous, I think I am at about 20 already (counting those while searching for opponents)

  26. Darkeness says:

I have a really hard time agreeing with this ideology.  If you have favorable team matchups, make better predictions, are a better player than someone, sure you can get haxed plenty and you can still win.  But if you’re playing someone on the same level or if they have one or two “problem” pokemon for you that your team needs to play around or that you only have one solid counter to and that counter gets critted, frozen, multiple full paras then really, how do you win other than playing outright better, which would violate that someone is playing on the same level as you.  Some games have hax that occur that make it impossible to bounce back from.  Pulling off a win even though you’ve been haxed just means that your opponent is THAT much worse than you that game.

  27. NidoRich says:

Just played a “Black” with no location on 1779. gg

I’s false. The vsplayer would not show battles involving a Japanese player properly if that were true.
