2013 International Challenge — June
The final International Challenge of the VGC ’13 season is upon us! With 11th to 13th place in North America tied and the live events in Europe over, there has never been as much at stake as there is now. North American players will be trying to get the lead they need to best secure an invite at the US National Championships while players within 10 points of the Top 32 spot in Europe will try to ensure they keep that elusive invite to the 2013 Pokémon World Championships. Additionally, everyone who participates in at least 5 battles and doesn’t get disqualified for disconnecting will receive 5 Apicot Berries, 5 Petaya Berries, and 5 Ganlon Berries.

Disconnections
You must play 5 full games to be ranked on the ladder and receive your berries.. Those who do not finish their battles and disconnect to try and save their record may lose their placing on the ladder as well as receive a ban in future WiFi competitions.

Good catch, thanks. Idek how I messed that up.
I’d actually be really surprised if these do count, since I had a ton the tournament where my DC rate ignoring them was the highest and still didn’t get DQed.
I’ve also only run during a few battles against obvious DCers when my rating wasn’t particularly high (one of which apparently wasn’t a DCer and uploaded the 0 turn battle to VSplayer…) early in tournaments and haven’t been DQed this season. Not DCing and having mostly stable internet has been a good strategy so far. I have accidentally hit that Wi-Fi switch a couple times, though, and am vaguely curious if there’s a way I can remove the switch so I don’t have to worry about it…
Maybe consider putting a small strip of tape over the wifi switch?
How quickly does one have to register for these challenges? I tried to register for the April challenge the morning after registration opened and it wouldn’t let me register.

Any time during the registration period works. They don’t fill up.
Okay, count me in. Sakuma from None (because I move every so often). I will be using my new team that I actually put some thought into. It can counter Dive Cats, Breloom, Trick Room, Rain, Sand, Hail, and almost any other key strategies. I mainly just have to use good prediction against goodstuff teams. Soooo ready.
Has anyone been able to register their team? I haven’t been able to try it myself but some other people I’ve talked to have been having problems.
I’ll be in this suffering because I have the almost the same time zone as Japan. Yay for constant Japanese.
Dan from Sydney, NSW

Well, considering I’ve got my summer senior project to do finish on Friday and something to do the following Saturday, I should have no time for this.
Going to enter anyway. PatBall from West Virginia with a new team and a new message: “I can handle BRELOOM”
“No competitions have been found for you to participate in. In Battle Competition, you cannot participate in the same competition twice.”
Does this mean that the limit of participants has already been reached? There’s still two days left. I hope it’s just a server error.
Nah. That just means the competition hasn’t started yet. It always says that.
is registration for this still open? the wifi comp doesnt apepar on my global link page?
doesnt appear on my available competitions list* 🙁
After Months of not playing the vgc mode, let’s do this
I registered, though not sure if I will actually have time to play much. Maybe will just play 5 to get them berries.
Also I don’t have a team yet unless I’m using my regionals team, but I probably would like to test out new things. I’ll see.
I think my name is Chubby(male symbol), Hiker, from British Columbia, Canada.
Might play in this with an old team, or something fun, but probably not going to do anything serious with this one. I just don’t like these tournaments.
Argghh! My ds card slot broke so I sent it in for repairs. I’m hoping to get it back in time to play in this tournament.
