Lyto, that wouldn’t happen to have been MY Trick Room team, would it? X3

    I’m not sure, maybe? xD

    Were you using klefki?

  2. Osirus says:

Had a great day and need to thank Chris and all the other guys for organising the event. Big congrats to Dan for taking his Manchester title back, well deserved mate!

Just wish my first round Swiss match hadn’t been recorded wrong as a loss which put me game two against a 0-1 instead of 1-0, which ruined my tiebreaker for the rest of the tournament as the mistake wasn’t noticed until Swiss had finished, meaning I didn’t top cut on 4-1 when in most other circumstances I would have.

  3. MSK says:

Awesome day. I’ve literally just got home after the most gruelling coach journey to London ever!! lol
Once I’ve had a sleep I might knock up a little report on my day with Battle Video codes etc :)

  4. Necrocat219 says:

By the way Im Daniel Oztekin in the top 16, cut, i forgot to say I was Necrocat219 :P I was the one wearing the monkey in a Totoro Onesie and holding a leaf in case you remember :)

Had an absolutely smashing day making the top 16 cut, had an amazingly intense battle with Blaziken7 battle to get knocked out and Zog was fun so couldn’t have asked for more :) and meeting everyone who I’ve talked to on the forums, It was hilarious meeting up with you AfroKing! XD I’m afraid that everyone’s usernames from the Walsall group is slipping my mind even though I asked before leaving as I was up for 36 hours by that point ^^’ could you tell me again? Great to meet with lots of other fantastic people such as Superintigration who I had a great conversation on competative games and their communities, Ts99 who was a great sport in our game, Foodking who I had such a couch match it came down to 6hp and so many utters I had just met briefly on the day. It was also fantastic meeting up with my usual group of friends, and gutted for you Yoshiken that you were so close to top 16 getting knocked out in the knockout for 15th and 16th. I really can’t wait for next time :)

  5. Necrocat219 says:

PS congrats Zog, was great playing you :)

  6. Toquill says:

It was great seeing everyone again!

I finished breeding my team the night before and lost every single game I had with it, so I changed it last second :X

Once again I had to leave prematurely, my parents are always on a tight schedule

    sigh

Thanks for the fun tourney, and congrats to Zog for going undefeated!

  7. Russian says:

Had a good day, was fun to see everyone again.

Didn’t decide my team until I was at the bar with a pint, still managed 3-2 somehow.

The events after the tournament were extremely interesting, thanks whoever suggested Satan’s hollow. Me, Jake, Joe, and Baz had a very good night there.

P.S. Brandon I’m sorry it’s always you that gets cyber abused when we go out, I don’t even know why haha.

    <3

  8. Baz Anderson says:

Had a great day! Getting paired with Zog early in top cut was unfortunate, it should have been the final.

Mixed feelings on the team I used on various levels. It was interesting to see how much abuse I could get out of Smeargle and Dark Void in a real life/Swiss tournament.

Thanks Chris for the tournament (and drinks)!

  9. foodking2win says:

i also had a great day im straight  away testing a new team

  10. Had another great day in Manchester, seeing all the usual people again is always good, and got to meet a few new faces aswell which was great.

I decided 2 days before the tournament that I was going to make a fun and easy to use smeargle team since I was probably just going to end up getting drunk anyway, never in a million years did I think I was going top cut, let alone make it into the top 4, but somehow it happened! It was also nice knowing that the only 2 people I lost to throughout the day were both finalists, zog and woopahking.

Whoever recommended the Satan’s hollow bar, thanks, because it was a fun night out getting smashed, and thanks havak for the Jack Daniels shots :D

    Team Walsall!

  11. Another great weekend as always. Was great seeing everyone again.

Satans hollow was one of the strangest places I have ever been to but it was well worth it! It made for one of the more interesting nights of my life and Baz definitely pulled.

Congrats to Zog for winning and knocking out all the smeargle users!

  12. Mattsby says:

Fantastic weekend, nice to see everyone. Even though I didn’t cut, I had a good time and had one of my best matches in Round 2 against Die2Distroy. Congrats to Everyone who cut and Over half of My team Walsall Crew on making Cut also, Especially Whiteafrohaxor on settling a year long grudge on the big screen.  :D

  13. KillerConall says:

The tournament was really good, i didn’t play anywhere near as well as i hoped, but i can only improve.

I want to say congrats to the friend i brought along who had never played competitive pokemon in his life and was given a team of trained pokemon that I had bred for fun more than for actual battles and he ended up getting top cut and losing in the second round.

I do however think that the bye system had a few kinks that need to be sorted, i got two byes when there were people of the same record who didnt even get one and I wasn’t even told of them until near the end of each of those rounds when i went to ask if they could get my opponent for me.

However despite only getting 3 games I still had fun and it was great to meet people, and the venue was also really good if a bit crowded.

  14. FroZen85 says:

This was a top day! Was good to see eveyone again, team Wallsal were out in force packing all types of Smeargle! Well done Jake on the top 4!

I didn’t do great, 2-3 in swiss, but had some epic battles. 3 of them over 20 turns! DaWoblefets advice for ev’s was top notch!

Congrats to Zog on the win and the pro Manectric!

  15. Lex says:

Just wanted to say had a lot of fun at this! Mainly went to see folks, make friends and get experience as these types of events don’t seem to roll around very often – certainly felt like a successful trip!
Was also pleased at going 3-2 with a fun little gravity team :)

Congrats to Zog and everyone else who did well and big Kudos to Chris and co for organising!

  16. Togekaboom says:

    I’m not sure, maybe? xD

    Were you using klefki?

    No. :o

    I guess it wasn’t me. X3

  17. Lyto says:

Oh well, maybe we’ll battle at another event.

Anyway, quite a lot of photos are up on StreetpassManchester’s facebook page, so they’re worth taking a look at!

  18. Eiganjo says:

if people saved battlevideos of this event, I’d love to get my hands on them, just send the numbers to me via PM if you haven’t already done so!
