Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Announced for November 2014 Release
Today, we received some surprising news about new games in the Pokémon franchise for release later this year in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. They are widely believed to be remakes of the third generation games which nobody expected at all. We have no information on the titles outside the release date which is planned for November 2014 as a worldwide release, much like Pokémon X and Y. Also like Pokémon X and Y, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International seem to have dropped the word “Version” from the titles of the games.
Nintendo says that, “Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are a fresh take on Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, which launched in 2003 and were fan-favorite hits on the Game Boy Advance system. The new titles promise to take players through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world.”
With a November 2014 release, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will not make it in time for the first Regional Championships of the VGC ’15 season in October. Like the VGC ’13 and VGC ’14 seasons, we expect to play using Pokémon X and Y at the fall regionals before switching to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire after mid-December. Keep in mind that the VGC ’15 season will be the first year we will hopefully have events on a regular basis if the current Premier Challenge pilot program pans out. It remains to be seen how long that Play! Pokémon decides is sufficient before sanctioned events switch to the new games.

Well we now have clearer screen shots posted by serebii. Mega sceptile is going for a drop-tail lizard thing… He drops his tail when he attacks. So yeah I can’t past the video but its on serebii. So discuss! Also Canadian release date still unconfirmed? Sometime in November is what they are saying…. Troll freak went back on worldwide release who knows japan might get it in October now!

Hey guys, we’re getting back berry patches in ORAS, not like the berry farm like in X and Y. It hasn’t been announced, but it’s seen one of the videos. Just after the player goes over an acro bike obstacle, you see two berry bushes, in a berry patch. If this mechanic is returning, hopefully we will get secret bases and the emerald battle frontier (But not the berry glitch XD)

All seem plausible, but at this point I think they’ve shown that about EVERY fully evolved Pokemon could possibly have a mega evoution. Even though this looks pretty legitimate, it would NOT surprise me to know this is fake. All the text/pictures have been more or less available to take directly or at least photoshop into other pictures. It also doesn’t make much sense because usually Nintendo does a good job of preventing non-Coro Coro leaks.
two things bother me about that picture: The pictures showing Mega Diancie and Latios about to mega evolve, especially the Mega Diancie picture. Mainly because Diancie isn’t a Hoenn pokemon, so it seems to not make too much sense that they would show her in an image about ORAS.
Then again, given that Diancie was strongly hinted at being a giveaway pokemon between now and November, plus the fact that her mega stone is confirmed to be in Hoenn. So it is possible this is a promotional image for Gamestop to use to advertise, and is meant to be displayed starting during that giveaway.
I had thought I had heard something about a “Camerupt Evolution” but can’t find any info about it looking back, incidentally.

the colors in general seem very off, yes. That may be because Potato-Quality camera though. Had that really bugged me, I woulda mentioned it.
A Potato-Quality camera doesn’t explain why Mega Sceptile is missing half of his right leg.
EDIT: I mean, there *is* that Latios screenshot so this could possibly be real, but if it is then TPCi needs to fire somebody for that very bad editing.
All Mega Hoenn Starters are 6′ 03” in height, that’s gotta mean they are all equally as good right… right?

We can all rest easy. The official sight confirms Primal Kyogre is still just Water type.
It also confirms that Primal Groudon is indeed Ground/Fire, finally! While that puts it at a bigger disadvantage against Kyogre, I don’t care. It’s still such a huge boon for Groudon to FINALLY effectively capitalize on the sun he summons. I’m getting Omega Ruby JUST because of Groudon getting this type change.
So is does anyone know what the word is on 6th gen RNG? I would very much like to RNG the Trainer ID from my original Sapphire version onto AlphaSapphire when it comes out.
What if Unburden worked in tandem with the Mega Stone, ie. doubling Sceptile’s speed after mega-evolving? It doesn’t seem likely, because Unburden doesn’t announce that it boosts the speed so it seems like it’d be a temporary thing, but that’d be a nice benefit to Mega-Sceptile. Pretty much means you’d hardly need to invest anything in speed unless worried about other Sceptile.
The user of Unburden must be holding an item to begin with, and then the held item must actively be lost during battle to get the double speed increase.
Has anyone heard if Pokebank will work on Alpha and Omega? I hope so because it will be a pain to transfer Pokemon otherwise…

Magic Bounce mega Sableye? Wow. Maybe it’ll be more useful than that other mega disappointment with Magic Bounce. Ugh, you know the one. Actually, the fact that it’s Magic Bounce for mega Sableye is hugely disappointing already.
Yeah Sayble is a bit disappointing only thing I see is that it will be used if people get angry at DV smeargles but its ultimantley not worth your mega slot. If sayble got a mega than hopefully Corocoro will relase new megas soon. But I am just so exicted now for a number of reasons, new vgc season and new megas as well. also have you guys looked at this?
Normally I would be supisous but the fact is that other influential; characters had small things like this and they could use mega evolution. But then when you look at these characters here External archie and maxie are covering up there glasses and gold chain! this obviously shows they have something to hide, Mega Camerupt and Sharpedo with drought and drizzle anyone?
I think Mega Sceptile will be a pretty decent Mega. With Lightningrod, he’ll send that bidoof Rotom Wash into decline! Also, I have evidence that Mega Sceptile will have base 160 speed and 135 Special Attack. This is the evidence I have: Blaziken has a base 120 Attack stat. This is the same number as Sceptile’s Speed stat. Blaziken’s Attack was buffed up to 160 as Mega Blaziken. Because Blaziken’s Attack is the same as Sceptile’s speed, Sceptile speed will probabaly be boosted to 160 as well for his Mega. If not 160, it will be 150. As for his Special Attack, I have evidence for that as well: Manectric has a base 105 Special Attack stat. Sceptile has base 105 Special Attack as well. Manectric’s Special Attack was buffed up to 135 as Mega Manectic. The same will be done for Mega Sceptile.
Prankster was Sableye’s saving grace, I think Mega Sableye will be worse overall without it.

And besides, you’re drawing comparisons not with two Pokemon, but with three.
I’m sure you could do that with a lot of Mega Pokemon.
