Registration Open for 2015 International Challenge April

Registration is open for the 2015 International Challenge — April! As the first online tournament to give out Championship Points this season, there will be a lot of interest going into this event. The tournament may very well decide the last few spots for the 2015 Pokémon World Championships. Players will play on the Competition ladder on Battle Spot from Friday, April 24, 2015, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, April 26, 2015, at 23:59 UTC. There is a limit of 10 battles per day for a total of 30 battles in the tournament. The highest ranked players will receive Championship Points as follows in each age division. Championship Points will not be divided by region but instead will be awarded to the top 256 players.

Placement Championship Points
1–2 12
3–4 10
5–8 8
9–16 6
17–32 4
33–64 3
65–128 2
129–256 1

Registration ends as soon as the tournament begins so be sure to get your entry in on the Global Link now. You don’t need to lock your Battle Box until just before your first match. To register, log in to the Pokémon Global Link and click on the Competitions link on the left hand navigation bar. You must have your Player ID linked to your Pokemon.com account that your game card is associated with before the competition begins to receive Championship Points. Results will be released on May 1st.

Wen 7-3 tonight – it could’ve been 8-2 or even 9-1 but after the first loss I was disappointed because I didn’t expect Earthquake on Terrakion so it went kind off downhill from there – but the win over Trick Room made me smile again, lol 😡

Can I play all 30 games in the last day?

    Yes.

  4. Garchamp says:

    “International” Challenge

    Europe’s in it too.

  5. IceyGamer says:

8-2 from Day 1. Found very interesting teams.

  6. Eiganjo says:

8-2 As well after day 1. Can’t say Im not pleased with it so far.
Let’s see if I can play the next few days or not and get some more games in.

  7. MajorBowman says:

I’m playing on two cartridges and I’ve played the same person on both carts.

Pretty sure I’m 5-0 and 5-2 on my two games right now. I’m taking it kinda slow and planning on playing more games this weekend.

  8. Sogeking says:

finished 18-2, lost to paul chua and eruption spam.
so what score do you need to get 1 point, like 1800?

  9. Stopped at 8-3 today…should’ve cut out before the 11th match, would have been much better for my confidence >_<. But very pleased considering I’ve been in the negative on battlespot since I started using this team

  10. BCnate says:

I did horrible day 1… Probably gonna be worse day 2.

    #iheartrockslide

  11. Schinken says:

Im 7-2 so far. Lost the first match due to stupidity and the the 2nd loss was completely weird. I ran into a guy using FIre/Ice punch fake out power up punch kang with a Crobat. The Crobat used Hypnosis wich hit 4 out of 5 times. Although he got lucky with the Hypnosis spam i think i shouldve won that game somehow since his team was so bad.

  12. MrEobo says:

Lost my first battle of the day once again.
Against my better judgment, I decided to keep playing despite my hindering tiredness right now… So I won 4 more games and am calling it a night. 13-2

  13. sebs92 says:

Went 10-0 in the first day!

My team is full of little shenanigans such as Feint Raichu, which actually has saved me a couple of battles. I’m loving this team so far =)

AV Lando working surprinsingly well, specially when people think you’re locked into one specific move

1800 will probably be the top range of players. Expecting even 1600 to gain points though without region separation I’m not sure how it will go.

I haven’t had a chance to play since the 5 games I had yesterday. Will need to do the bulk of it tomorrow. 4-1. Lost on a wrong last turn call to a player from Spain. Only NBers I’ve played are BCNate and styrofoameon as far as I know.

  15. Dorian06 says:

6-4 the first day to some horrid hax.
9-1 the next day because I lost to disconnect. he’s too good

  16. Mario C says:

Finished 7-3 both days so far. A lot of things I could improve. I didn’t know Boomguy was streaming, that was a good game!

gg.  WTF with the quick claw Sylveon lol!!  I played our match really wrong :/

  18. TZ111 says:

Played 5 matches so far and I’m 2-3, the 3 losses being from disconnection. Pretty much ruined my chances for a top 256 finish, I’m fuming as my internet never disconnects usually.

  19. duffy says:

6-4 today, 14-7 in total. Learned a lot.

  20. Simperheve says:

Went 4-6 on day 1. The amount of near losses was ridiculous

  22. sohaib says:

15-5 so far disgusted with my performance .

  23. Dan88 says:

Anyone know how often global link updates scores? Just had 2 opponents DC in a row so was starting to get paranoid if it’s my fault, although i stayed online both times. Error was connection interrupted, but i’ve had this happen in ranked matches too and been given losses on a few occasions.

Edit: It’s just updated but it’s not put those two games on, it has put the 3 games i had immediately before though. Not sure whether it’s not decided on their outcome yet or ignoring they even happened. The first game was a couple rounds in, second one my opponent had a really bad lead and dc’d straight away.

  24. Sogeking says:

    currently 16-4

what is your score at the moment?

does anyone know if a player got past 1750?

  25. Syrus says:

10-0 on the first day; got some luck regarding two matchups in particular but for the most part I’ve made this happen all on my own. So happy; I’ve never had this before XD

1-0 so far on Day 2; let’s make this count!

  26. 12-8…. I am so ticked off at myself… I need to learn to beat megaman

Perhaps I played you, I am using it currently.

  28. Braverius says:

finished 18-2, lost to paul chua and eruption spam.
so what score do you need to get 1 point, like 1800?

1750 should net you top 64 easily, 1800 probably either wins you it or gets you top 8 at the very, very least.
